When we heard this year’s Coolinary New Orleans menus would include brunch for the first time at several restaurants, we couldn’t pass it up. After all, babes love brunch! This past Sunday, we indulged in a delicious three-course brunch at Tableau.
We cooled down with a refreshing rosemary lemonade mocktail when we arrived.
Then, we were greeted with a small amuse bouche from the chef.
Grilled pineapple topped with Gulf Yellowfin Tuna
We chose one of each of the appetizers offered on the Coolinary brunch menu.
The Turtle Soup was one of the best we’ve ever had.
Crystal Shrimp: seared Gulf shrimp with an Andouille cornbread muffin drizzled with Crystal beurre blanc
For the Entrées, we both chose the Eggs Hussard. Our server was very hospitable and made one a pescetarian version (with fried oysters) .
Poached eggs and grilled beef medallions glazed with marchand de vin, set atop grilled French bread and tomato, finished with hollandaise
Finally, for our favorite course. We chose one of each dessert, and two spoons so we could taste both!
The live jazz band added even more fun to our brunch!
